In the middle of the night, a man walks in search of his shadow.

It is a search that began before the rising of the sun, and it continues now after the setting of the sun, with no end in sight.

But the man cannot bring himself to stop. Without hope or direction he simply walks. Under lanterns, pass strangers, across the street and beyond the line of shops, the man walks and walks. Finally, he pauses in front of a stall. He had once stood there with his shadow. They had seemed inseparable then. Now, he was all alone.
